Playing with Clay is a fun introductory course to the world of clay hand building. Students learn hand building techniques such as slab work, pinch potting, and sculpting through various projects. The projects are used as an inspirational way to demonstrate building techniques. They can be copied, altered, or another project can be created, I leave this up to the student.
Clay hand building is a fantastic way to develop fine motor skills, dexterity, and creativity.
The classes run on a rotation of two clay classes where we create projects followed by a painting class, where students use acrylics to bring their projects to life.
