Join us for an artistic adventure! Each week, we’ll dive into the life and work of a renowned artist, exploring their unique style and techniques. After learning about the artist, students will unleash their creativity with hands-on projects inspired by these iconic figures.
Get ready to:
* Paint your story like Kahlo - with art full of vibrant symbolism and meaning or bold, symbolic self-portraits.
* Think outside the dots like Kusama - with colorful, immersive designs.
* Let your imagination run wild like Dalí - in surreal and unexpected ways.
* Swirl with emotion like van Gogh - using expressive strokes and color.
* Ride the wave of creativity like Hokusai - with striking compositions.
* Weave a tale like Ringgold - and bring stories to life through art.

As a special addition, we’re exploring the possibility of an optional field trip to the Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, where students can experience surrealism up close, The Chihuly Collection for a dazzling look at glass art and its creation, or Zen Glass Studio to highlight the work of Dale Chihuly with a hands-on demonstration. Students will vote on their preferred destination during the course, making this experience truly collaborative and tailored to their interests. Details and costs for the field trip will be provided once the votes are in.
