This class will walk students through the steps of basic home maintenance and repair. These are situations that we all face daily but may lack the experience to avoid hiring a skilled laborer at a high cost. Some of these scenarios could include: proper and safe use of basic household tools; drywall repair; outlet installation; plumbing pipe connection; shelf bracket installation; tile and grout installation; caulking; working with a toilet flange…the list goes on. I will create small, broken down versions of the scenarios and walk class members through the steps of the solution so that they can complete these simple home projects on their own. Learning to apply the use of these basic tools will give students an invaluable skill set for real life situations.
